“At this moment in your life, if you are trying to recover from something, replenish yourself; create a dream that has become difficult. Each day, placing a hand on your heart and saying to yourself - I give myself my own love – is a powerful statement. I give myself my own love. And some of you will feel it going through the hand back into the heart recycling what it is you send out. For it is with your hands that you hold hands with those you love, with children; you navigate the world. A lot of love escapes your body from this point. So send it back in. The heart is a magnet when it is full.” ~ Ziadora from Re-Magnetizing the Heart
After going through things, sometimes recovery doesn’t come quickly. It takes time for the stress of challenges and sting of hurt to soften, so you don’t need to apologize for taking a little time for some self-care to replenish you. What you do (even if it’s nothing at all) and how long it takes for you to feel better or to have peace matters to you and no one else; don’t let anyone tell you how long you should take or when you should feel better. Only you will know when it’s time to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and move forward.
After some “me” time, you’ll be ready to have some fun with friends and family. Surround yourself with love and laughter, which also has a way of replenishing you in a way little else can. Then, when you’re ready, write down a new goal or dream - something you’d like to do or accomplish in the near future - and start the journey.
Taking time to recover and replenish will give you renewed hope for the future and wisdom from what you’ve been through or overcome. You will also be in a better place for sharing and receiving love, achieving your goals and creating a beautiful life and future. ~ © 2019 T. A. Garcia
