"Never under-estimate the power of your attitude. Maintaining your inner balance and attitude puts you in the position of making a positive difference on those around you." ~ Eva Gregory
People with positive attitudes typically like being around others who have a positive attitude. People with bad attitudes are turned off by positive people and will seek out others who will help them beat the drum of "woe is me". Yes, life happens, but we have the choice to make lemonade out of the lemons life gives us or just have the sour face and attitude.
Though a lesson in life might get us down, we are not defeated. It’s about finding a way to see the positive in everything we experience. There is the saying "In every adversity there is a seed of equal or greater benefit". With a positive attitude, we can see the value of the experience and be content knowing that we are evolving and bigger and better things are coming our way. A positive attitude, no matter how dire the situation, will help us attract more positive into our lives.
A way to find balance and offset some of the negativity we might experience is by doing something fun – watching a movie, going for a walk or run, reading, sleeping, having a glass of wine, dancing, singing (maybe when no one else is around), but doing something that will allow us to step away from the situation, take a deep breath, and perhaps look at things differently. Sometimes it’s hard to have a great attitude and outlook when we’re right “in the middle of it”, but once we take time out and have a little fun, our attitude and outlook will change.
When we shine with positivity, others with positive attitudes will want to be around us. And those people who are hanging on to all those lemons might find that we have the sugar they need to make that lemonade. ~ ©2014 T. A. Garcia
